Reiki Attunements

Reiki is initiated by a Reiki Master-Teacher through an attunement to bring us into a
harmonious relationship with the Reiki energy. Attunement can be defined as the
act of "matching vibration" with a specific spiritual energy. Attunements adjust the
vibration of an individual. This energy creates an open "channel" for the universal
life energy. The Reiki attunement is often very special spiritual experience for the
receiver, as well as the teacher.

What is Reiki

Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese name consisting of 2 words Rei and
Ki meaning spiritually guided life energy (commonly known as Universal Life
Energy), an energy which animates us all and is found all around us. Reiki is a
form of spiritual healing using "universal life energy" channeled through the
practitioner to the recipient. Reiki helps to harmonize body, mind and spirit
for yourself or anyone you want to help.

Reiki Treatment

You relax, fully clothed, on a massage table or seated while the Reiki Practitioner holds
his hands 1-2" above you. A treatment can last up to an hour or longer depending on
the treatment required. In the western world many practitioners use the standard
hand positions and commonly a full treatment is given covering all the important
organs of the body. There is no pressure on the body making it ideal for treating all
ages and conditions, sometimes hands are even held away from the body. The energy
flows wherever it is required (spiritually guided) and can normally be felt as a warm
sensation or tingling in the body. Receiving Reiki is a very relaxing and soothing
experience!

Reiki - An Affective Healing Method

Reiki can be used for many ailments like reducing stress, relieving pain, headaches,
stomach upsets, back problems, asthma, respiratory problems, PMT, menstrual
problems, sinus, anxiety and many more. (Please observe that Reiki should never be
used instead of medical treatment, it should be used as a compliment and a way to
become and remain healthy.)

Reiki I (4 Hours)
The first level of training is an opportunity to expand one's experience of life through the
Reiki initiation process, which re-awakens one's own natural healing channel. This energy
"attunement" occurs in a ceremonial act shared by the Reiki Master with each student. The
student is instructed in the history of Reiki, the basic hand positions, how to treat one's
self for an increased level of personal wellness as well as how to use Reiki in one's own life
in service to others. Some time will be spent learning about the chakras and energy levels.
Class time is provided for students to begin practicing Reiki on themselves and on other
students, under the caring supervision of the Reiki Master. Student must purchase and
read "Reiki Fire" prior to class.

Reiki II (4 Hours)
This level is for the first degree student who wishes to deepen his or her commitment to
using Reiki in the process of mastering the existence we call life. The second degree class
involves two more "attunements" by the Reiki Master and instruction on the conscious use
of ancient symbols to increase the power of the treatments, to reach the subconscious
mind and to send the energy to someone from a distance (remote therapy).

Reiki Master Program (5 Hours)
This level of training is for those who wish to certify others in the Usui System of Reiki.
The student will be "attuned" to the Master symbols and taught the method of attuning
others.
This class has the following prerequisites: Reiki I and II Certification, 100 documented
cases of Reiki sessions, and helping the Reiki Master at the Level I and II classes to gain
experience.
